The expense secures the village’s municipal insurance policies for 2026, which include $11,353 for Commercial Cyber Liability, $2,961 for Commercial Crime, and $4,746 for Multimedia Liability coverage.

The Frankfort Police Department is also slated to receive equipment and technology upgrades. The bills list a $962 payment to Kiesler Police Supply, Inc. for the purchase of two new Glock Gen5 9mm handguns, alongside $515 to Brownells, Inc. for tactical “weapon light kits.”

Furthermore, the village approved a $1,519 credit card purchase for a 3D scanner via Amazon. Law enforcement agencies increasingly utilize portable 3D scanners for high-precision, digital accident reconstruction and crime scene mapping.

Frankfort’s public works department also initiated its seasonal battle against local pest populations. The board approved a $54,434 invoice to Clarke Environmental Mosquito for regional mosquito management treatments scheduled for May 2026.

Additionally, the village funded structural upkeep for one of its most prominent downtown landmarks. The village approved a $7,387.50 payment to Stevenson Crane Service, Inc. for crane rentals utilized during structural repairs on the historic Frankfort Grainery pole, ensuring the preserved agricultural landmark remains structurally sound.
