Highway Commissioner Bill Carlson presented the 2026-2027 Salt Purchase Approval to the board, detailing the ramifications of the approval. The measure grants Carlson the authority to formally purchase salt for the township’s winter road maintenance. The board, following a motion by Trustee Hillary Kurzawa and a second by Trustee Dave Smith, unanimously approved the request.

In administrative actions, the board modernized its financial controls by adopting Resolution 0309-26 regarding an IL Fund Request.

Trustee Thomas Kennedy read the resolution into the record, which officially requested that James Moustis be removed as Principal on the account and replaced by the current Supervisor, Nick George. Furthermore, the resolution removes Karen Gonzales as an Authorized Signer and replaces her with the current Administrator, Theodora Kral.

The resolution passed with unanimous consent following a motion by Trustee Smith and a second by Trustee Jessica Kot.
