Illinois Quick Hits: Group files FOIA lawsuit vs. Pritzker

(The Center Square) – Judicial Watch has filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker.

The suit filed in Sangamon County circuit court claims the governor’s office failed to adequately respond to a FOIA request regarding a September 2025 event at which Pritzker was photographed with anti-violence worker Kellen McMiller.

Days later, McMiller was charged with murder in connection with a smash-and-grab robbery and crash in Chicago that left one person dead. McMiller had several warrants out for his arrest at the time of the photo with the governor.

fter a Quest Food Management Services worker filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board for a decertification vote, the National Right to Work Foundation said SEIU officials disclaimed interest in maintaining control over the work unit.

ILLINOIS SUPREME COURT TO HEAR ARGUMENTS AT WIU

The Illinois Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments at Western Illinois University next month as part of the court’s Riding the Circuit program.

Justices will hear oral arguments in two cases March 11 in the University Union Grand Ballroom. A limited number of seats are available to the public.
