Frankfort Park District Meeting | December 9, 2025

The Frankfort Park District Board of Commissioners convened on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, to handle year-end financial business, including the approval of the 2025 tax levy and the payment of bills. The board approved accounts payable and payroll totaling $324,205.62 for the period ending November 30, 2025.

In addition to financial matters, the board entered into an executive session at 7:56 p.m. to discuss the purchase or lease of real estate, personnel, and pending litigation. The board returned to open session at 8:14 p.m. and adjourned shortly thereafter with no further action taken on the closed session items.

Puent Building Repairs:
Superintendent of Building and Grounds Edward Newton reported that staff has been dealing with recent snow and ice. During the Thanksgiving break, a contractor successfully repaired and cleaned the bathroom floors in the Puent Building. Additionally, discussion was held regarding alternative methods for snow and ice melting, though no specific changes were finalized.

Website Redesign Update:
Executive Director Gina Hassett reported that staff has received the first draft of the district’s website layout and provided feedback. The full redesign project is scheduled for completion by May 2026. Hassett indicated she would share the draft with the board for their review.
