Frankfort Village Board Meeting | January 12, 2026

The Frankfort Village Board met on Monday, January 12, 2026, to conduct village business ranging from personnel promotions to infrastructure approvals. Mayor Keith Ogle presided over the meeting, which included the swearing-in of a new police sergeant, the approval of a plat of easement for a business expansion, and the announcement of a new county-wide recycling initiative.

Expansion for Assured Insulation Solutions:
The board approved a plat of easement for a significant expansion at 22530 South Center Road. The property owner, 22530 Center LLC, plans to construct a 32,960-square-foot addition to the existing Assured Insulation Solutions facility. The easement approval ensures proper stormwater management and conveyance for the expanded site.

Will County Paint and Battery Recycling:
Mayor Ogle announced a new statewide paint collection program launched by Will County, allowing residents and businesses to safely recycle unwanted paint. He also noted that effective January 1, 2026, batteries are prohibited from household trash disposal, with new recycling options established under the Illinois Battery Stewardship Act. Residents were directed to willcountygreen.com for drop-off locations.

Financial Approvals:
Trustee Leddin presented the bills for approval, totaling $1,700,970.26. The disbursement included $446,575.82 from the General Corporate Fund, $512,796.24 from the Capital Development Fund, and significant expenditures from the water and sewer funds.

Board Comments:
Trustees used their comment time to congratulate Sergeant Thompson and Phillips Chevrolet. Trustee Petrow highlighted the paint collection program, noting local drop-off spots at Sherwin Williams and Whitmore Ace Hardware. Trustee Rigoni welcomed the new businesses, emphasizing that choosing Frankfort is “the greatest compliment” a business can give the community.
