News Briefs

Annual Audit Tabled:
The presentation of the FY24–25 Financial Audit by Illinois NFP Audit & Tax, LLP was tabled because the auditor was unable to attend the meeting. The presentation has been rescheduled for the November meeting.

Jeff Slovak, liaison for the Friends of the Library, reported that the October book sale resulted in a profit of $2,150. Slovak also mentioned upcoming events, including a winter art market and a fundraiser with Oberweis in Mokena scheduled for December 3 to raise funds for an outreach vehicle.

Preschool Fair to Return:
Under Youth Services updates, it was announced that the Preschool Fair will return in January. The decision to reinstate the event was based on patron feedback.
