Article Summary: The Village Board granted two Special Use Permits to allow Asad’s Import Auto Sales, Inc. to operate an online-based dealership and repair facility on Center Road. The approval includes strict conditions prohibiting outdoor vehicle displays to maintain the aesthetics of the business park.

Asad’s Import Auto Sales Key Points:

  • Business Model: An online-based dealership focused on high-end, luxury, and exotic vehicles (e.g., Lamborghini, Ferrari).

  • Location: 710 Center Road.

  • Permits Granted: Special Use Permits for both automobile sales and automobile repair/service.

  • Restrictions: No outdoor display or storage of sale inventory is permitted; all operations must occur indoors.

FRANKFORT – A new business specializing in high-end luxury vehicles will be setting up shop on Center Road after receiving approval from the Frankfort Village Board on Monday, December 1, 2025.

The Board approved an ordinance granting Special Use Permits for automobile sales and automobile repair and service to Asad’s Import Auto Sales, Inc., located at 710 Center Road.

Trustee Adam Borrelli explained the unique nature of the business proposal. “Adam Sarama proposes to operate Asad’s Import Auto Sales, Inc., an online-based vehicle dealership and service and repair business,” Borrelli said.

The business model focuses on purchasing vehicles that require mechanical and body work, repairing them on-site, and reselling them via online platforms. Unlike traditional dealerships, this facility will not rely on foot traffic.

“The applicant requests the granting of a special use permit for automobile sales and a special use permit for automobile repair and service,” Borrelli added.

To address potential concerns regarding the aesthetics of the B-2 Community Business District, the Board imposed specific conditions on the approval. The ordinance stipulates that “no sales or service inventory vehicles are displayed and/or stored in the existing exterior striped parking spaces or along any adjacent driveways.”

Furthermore, soundproofing materials must be installed on the interior walls to mitigate noise, and all exterior doors must remain closed during business hours. The facility will operate strictly by appointment only for customers wishing to see a vehicle in person.

“You have any community to select and you picked Frankfort. So, I thank you for that,” Trustee Michael Leddin said regarding the new businesses approved during the meeting.
