In his personnel report to the Board of Trustees, Kinsella announced that the district has received 13 applications for new hires. He noted that the application deadline is October 3, 2025, and that some of the applicants are from other fire departments.
At the same time, the district is preparing for a promotional process, with 13 internal candidates signed up to take the upcoming lieutenant’s test.
Kinsella also provided an update on staffing challenges, stating that three members are currently off work due to workers’ compensation claims.
