Village of Frankfort Board – October 6, 2025

Article Summary: The Frankfort Village Board approved an ordinance to increase the number of Class C-1 liquor licenses from nine to ten, paving the way for the new Frankfort Chop House to serve alcohol when it opens in mid-November. The restaurant is located in the Homestead Center development at the corner of Laraway and Wolf Roads.

Liquor License Amendment Key Points:

  • The board voted to increase the number of Class C-1 (full-service restaurant with bar, no carry-outs) liquor licenses from nine to ten.

  • The new license is designated for the Frankfort Chop House, located at 11235 W. Laraway Road.

  • The restaurant is expected to open on November 15, 2025.

The Frankfort Village Board on Monday, October 6, 2025, unanimously approved an amendment to the village’s liquor code to accommodate a new upscale restaurant. The board voted to increase the number of available Class C-1 liquor licenses from nine to ten.

The action was taken to allow for liquor sales at the Frankfort Chop House, a new restaurant expecting to open on November 15. The establishment is located at 11235 W. Laraway Road, Units A, B, and C, within the Homestead Center development at the corner of Laraway and Wolf Roads.

Mayor Keith Ogle, acting in his capacity as the village’s Liquor Commissioner, presented the motion. “The amendment is proposed to accommodate liquor sales at the Frankfort Chop House,” Ogle stated before the vote.

A Class C-1 license permits a full-service restaurant to operate a bar but does not allow for the sale of packaged liquor for carry-out. The board waived the customary first and second readings of the ordinance to expedite its passage. Following a roll call vote where all trustees voted in favor, the motion carried.
