 
 Meeting Summary and Briefs: Frankfort Township Board for June 9, 2025
The Frankfort Township Board on Monday, June 9, 2025, approved its primary financial documents for the upcoming fiscal year, passing separate and balanced budget appropriation ordinances for the township and the highway department. Township to Celebrate 175th Birthday
Frankfort Township will celebrate its 175th birthday this Saturday, June 14, 2025. Trustee Dave Smith announced the celebration will be held at the township building. To assist with the event, Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 will be donating a bus and a driver for traffic control.
Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon Planned
Supervisor Nick George announced that the township will host a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to honor community members for their service. The event is scheduled for noon on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Aurelio’s Pizza.
Board Approves Bills, Recognizes Officials
In routine business, the board unanimously approved the minutes from its May 19 meeting as well as the monthly bill list. The board also formally acknowledged its elected officials: Highway Commissioner Bill Carlson, Collector Susan Heaton, and Clerk Nella Piccolin.
